Wendy Carr
Wendy is a singer and actress based between London and the North-East of Scotland. Originally, Wendy studied opera at Leeds College of Music then went on to gain 2 years' professional experience in opera with Leeds-based company, Young Opera Venture, in a number of roles including Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Frasquita (Carmen) and Anne Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor).
She then went on to study acting on the 1-year Professional Acting Course at Drama Studio London, and since has performed frequently in London and nationwide, including the London productions of Princess Ida, Closer Than Ever and A Well-Remembered Voice, and various cabarets and special guest appearances at The Other Palace, Live at Zedel, The Pheasantry and Leicester Square Theatre.
As well as a soloist, she’s a founding member of London's leading classical-crossover girl group, Ida. With Ida she has gained entry into the Christmas classical charts with their Christmas album, Believe; appeared on BBC1's This Week Christmas Special twice; was nominated for a Classical Brit award; performed at West End Live; featured on charity single 'The Hero' alongside other West-End and Hollywood faces; and headlined Noosa Alive Festival in Australia, as well as performing all over the world on luxury cruiselines.
