Ida Girls

Wendy is a founder member of Ida, London's leading classical-crossover quartet and West End supergroup. "Described as breathtaking by Official London Theatre, Ida brings you a collection of re-worked operatic arias, chart-topping hits and musical theatre favourites. Ida's impressive versatility within these musical genres has seen them performing their mesmerising shows across the continents. With spellbinding vocals and a unique chemistry, Ida captivates every audience."

With Ida, Wendy has performed nationally and internationally, in the West End, on luxury cruise ships, on BBC1 and at Windsor Castle for Prince Edward. Wendy also writes the majority of Ida's vocal arrangements, specifically to suit the style of the group and the individual voices of each member. She also takes on the duties that a Musical Director would for the group, such as leading rehearsals with accompanying orchestras, bands and pianists; working with deps on music and performance to ensure the highest quality concert every time; updating any scores as Ida's shows develop; and working with orchestrators and sound engineers on recordings and bespoke backing tracks.

Additionally, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Wendy further took on the role of producing Ida's online videos and concerts, as can be seen on their YouTube and social media pages, including the video for Ida's charity single, Stars: A Les Mis Medley, in aid of Help Musicians and premiered by Official London Theatre in July 2020 (see below).
